We'll be promoting the play at June Arts Alive next Saturday on June 6th, 2026! We'll be projecting three traditional Wiyot stories (“lhatsik”) animated through filmed shadow puppetry on a large screen outside of the Wiyot Tribe’s Da Gou Rou Louwi’ Cultural Center from 7:30-9:00pm thanks to support by the Eureka Cultural Arts District. the whole team will be tabling with shadow puppets and show info at the 16th annual California Indian Big Time and Social Gathering on April 4th from 11am-6pm. Come by and say hi!

Co-Artistic Director Michelle Hernandez will present on the play and the movement to bring back good fire in our region with Margo Robbins of the Cultural Fire Management Council. Margo and Michelle will discuss their respective connection to cultural fire, and how it has cared for the land and sustained culture for millenia. This will be at the Arcata Playhouse on Friday, March 13th at noon.
