Wusatoumuduk: We Make It Burn

Zuzka Sabata is a playwright, actor, producer and teacher that has worked in Humboldt County for 20 years. She writes, performs and produces original work as an independent artist and in collaboration with community. She was staff and faculty at Dell’Arte International for 12 years and co-founded the first ever theatre arts program in Pelican Bay State Prison. She has partnered with youth and community of the Wiyot Tribe to create culturally focused theatre since 2015. She collaborated with Michelle Hernandez previously on the Bartow Project about Wiyot artist Rick Bartow. You can find out more about her projects at www.zuzkasabata.com.
